The Firstlight Line

A quiet method, built around one morning.

Firstlight Line takes a small number of weddings each season so every bride gets a full trial, a written plan for her morning and an artist who knows her face before the day arrives.

  1. Skin firstPrepared, not covered

Every look starts with 20 minutes of skin work — cleanse, hydrate, balance. Coverage goes only where it is needed, so texture and freckles stay yours.

  2. Daylight testedColour checked by a window

Shades are matched and photographed in natural light during your trial, then adjusted for your venue — a stone chapel and a summer garden need different hands.

  3. Calm timingA morning that runs early

You receive a simple schedule with buffer built in. The kit is set up before anyone arrives and packed away before the photographer starts.

How it works

From first note to wedding morning

Four steps, no surprises. You will always know what happens next and roughly when.

  1. Enquiry

Send your date, location and the size of your party. We reply with availability and a clear quote.

  2. Trial

We design the look together in the studio, usually two to four months ahead, and record everything.

  3. Plan

You receive a morning schedule listing arrival, order of application and finish time for each person.

  4. The morning

We arrive early, work to the plan and leave you with a small touch-up card for the rest of the day.

Looks

Three finishes, all in natural light

Photographed on the day or at the trial, with no retouching of the skin — so what you see is what the makeup actually does.

Questions

Asked before most bookings

Do I need a trial?
For bridal day makeup, yes — it is how colour, longevity and timing get settled without pressure. For portrait and editorial work a trial is optional, and for members of your party it is usually unnecessary.
Will you travel to where we are getting ready?
Yes. Wedding-morning makeup is normally done on location, whether that is a hotel room, a family home or a venue suite. Trials happen in the studio, where the light and mirrors are consistent.
How long will it actually last?
A full wedding day, including tears and dancing. Longevity comes from preparation rather than heavy product, and you leave with a small card of the two or three things worth carrying for touch-ups.
My skin is sensitive or reactive. Can you work with it?
Often, yes. Tell us in your enquiry and the kit is adjusted in advance — fragrance-free bases, minimal layers, no adhesive lashes if you would rather avoid them. The trial doubles as a patch test well before the day.
How far ahead should I enquire?
Six to twelve months is comfortable, though shorter notice is worth asking about. Only a small number of dates are taken each season, so availability is confirmed date by date.
